Gaming Systems in Your Set-Up

'It's Not Just For Watching Movies'

 

With so many people with Home Cinema's at home now, (Durr) it's NOT just watching and enjoying movies anymore. I read the other day that over 87% of people have a Gaming system, either there kids have one or themselves. And that to me was startling, as most if not ALL games on the PS3 or my Console of choice the XBOX 360 have Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound.

Well as that is a fact then what the hell are we doing listening and playing them through those tiny little speakers they now stick in All LCD/PLASMA TV's?..

 

 

 

 

Games have so much going on in them for instance lets take my favourite at the moment FARCRY 3. You've got the vast reaches of the jungle to explore not only with your eyes but your ears to. Birds chirping, Bears growling from all angles and bullets flying past you as you attack the Pirates and rescue your friends and help the natives. It's not just atmospherics that are there, its the explosions of cars and jeeps blowing up or rocks and caves falling in on you that create some Bass you sometimes don't even hear in movies.

And what about everybody's No1 game or franchise at the moment the CALL OF DUTY collection?. Bullets whizzing past your head get you ducking out of the way as if you was there. And then there are the different types of guns. The 'Pop, Pop, Pop' of the M4A1 Assault rifle or the thrust and Boom of the RPG7 or the Javelin Rocket launcher's.. 'Great' and finally my favourite the Sniper Rifles like the WA2000's 'Phut, Phut'. All very immersive and involving you, the player in the heart of the action.. As the song goes 'War What Is It Good For Nothing'?.. Try Home Cinema Gaming, that's what for.

 

 

So if you haven't already hooked your system up to your receiver or amp then please go ahead and give it a go. Grab yourself a Optical lead or send the signal via HDMI to your system. Gaming IS NOT just for kids in there bedrooms.. Us adults like to play to.
