The Walking Dead Season 2 'ZombieHead' Blu Ray Collectible

'This rage is gonna get you killed'

Fig 1. It Really is This Good

Those of you who have been living in a cardboard box tucked away in the loft are probably the only people who haven't seen or heard of 'The Walking Dead' so i'll try and give you a quick run down on it.

A sheriff (Andrew Lincoln) wakes up in an apocalyptic nightmare world and can't quite get his head around what's gone on since he ended up in a coma. The undead are everywhere and so are his friends and maybe even some of his family, so he starts a hunt not only on the zombies but on the rest of  humanity and god forbid anyone or anything that gets in his way. The title is not about the undead but about the survivors themselves.
It premiered in the UK in October 2010 and has gone on to be a smash hit worldwide, we are now on season 3 so I thought I would give you a quick review of the imported season 2.. So hold tight as heads are gonna roll. (heh get it)

All I can say about season 2 is it's just a tad slow in the middle, but with a reason as you get to know the characters a lot more and to me that's a good thing. Yes it could have just ploughed on with zombies coming out of every corner and blood and guts splurting all over your screen, but it didn't need that, what it needed was what you get a mad friend, untrustworthy companions? and friendships being made and broken. The finale itself is worth buying the Blu Ray for... Trust Me.
So on to the discs and the bust they come stored in.

Before you go any further its not a 4 star review as it says up top its a very near 4 and three quarters and that's just down to a little bit to much film grain. subdued colours are the order of the day and that's a good thing because when a walker gets killed it actually makes it seem more real and vivid, detail is high, with a natural softness to some scenes until you get a close up of Ricks hat or other peoples faces along with buildings then the detail just jumps off the screen. Blacks are a little washed out but its not a particularly dark season anyway, all in all I think most home cinema fans will be over the moon with the actual clarity..

AUDIO*****
DOLBY TRUE HD  7.1 (that's right) along with a French Dolby Digital 2.0 soundtrack
Stunning is the only word for this imported Blu Ray (the UK Blu Ray Version is only 5.1) I couldn't stop looking behind me to see if there was someone there and believe me I don't frighten easily. (Ha, Ha, Ha) But in all truth its amazing to hear rear effects used so well and often. You get into the woods and there's insects flying and chirping everywhere, along with gunshots clapping about all the time its great fun. You can tell the difference to every single gun being used, bass is full and heavy and it makes for a better experience, heart thumping and dripping with perspiration is what you will be after listening and watching this.. pick it up on Amazon.com.
