Finding Nemo Steelbook 3D/2D german Release

'I shall call him Squishy, and he shall be mine. And he shall be my Squishy'

Fig 1. Shiny and Debossed a Collectors delight

In a never seen underwater world, there is the hustle and bustle of everyday life for the fish of a coral reef. A Clown fish named Marlin has to take over the daily duties after a terrible family loss. Fearful of the Great Barrier reef and what it holds beyond it is what scares Marlin to care for his son Nemo even more than the usual fish. When Nemo is taken far from home and  chucked into a dentist's fish tank, Marlin finds himself the hero on an miraculous journey to rescue his son. Along the way we meet sharks, crazy one eyed fish and a battle to bring his son home where he belongs.

The Steelbook is as fantastic in hand as it is to watch. A Debossed front with Nemo (if you can see him, it would have been nice to have a film called Finding Nemo with Nemo actually on the cover) and Bruce as the main picture. It's a Glossy front and is after all the moaning well designed. The inside artwork is actually a scene from the movie (See Below) and the rear is of the mentioned Clown fish swimming away in the distance.. Very nice indeed, Lets hope the UK one is just as nice eh!.

Fig 2. Inside Artwork has a watery Ocean Scene

Fig 3. The Rear is Extremely Detailed

VIDEO*****
Presented in 1.78:1 at 1080p
So how does Pixar's Blu Ray transfer hold up then?, pretty well to be frank and honest. If there are films that will show up film banding ones got to be animation and the other has got to be animation underwater, but no problems arise here. Finding Nemo is flawless in my eyes, a rich blue ocean awaits those who purchase this along with a rainbow of colours from the coral reef to the dentist's office fish tank. Compared to the older DVD release the blacks are now sorted out and detail is first class. You have to remember this is a 9 year plus old movie, but you'd never know it. It really is right up there with Toy Story. Now if that isn't a benchmark then I don't know what is
4 and 3 quarters on this on, jeez not everything can get a 5 can it.. Hang on a minute there's nothing wrong with it so squash that 5 out of 5.. Bang on. Snorkeling good family fun.

AUDIO*****
DOLBY TRUE HD English 7.1, English Dolby Digital 2.0, French Dolby Digital 5.1 EX and
Spanish Dolby Digital 5.1 EX
All I can say is bloody good luck to anybody who finds a problem with this soundtrack, Dolby have given us a right treat for our ears here including a glorious 7.1 track, and I'm so glad they did as it really immerses you in the ocean. To start with there is no rest for the surround speakers and that is good as I always like to hear them working the way they should. Weather it's bubbles, boat's, sharp teethed sharks or the sound of seagulls squawking to one another its all there, and LFE isn't missing either as the chase heats up to save Nemo so does the musical score. Thomas Newman's pitch-perfect music sounds utterly Brilliant.
Once again 5 from 5... Surf's up dude.

Fig 4, It's the Dentists Fish Tank for our Nemo

EXTRAS**
I'm afraid I don't speak German so I cant review the extras on the disc but there are some and I pretty sure one of them is a 3D fish tank and some commentary's any more and I will keep it updated.
If it's the same on the UK one I will just fill it in.
