Samsung BDF 7500 Smart Blu Ray Player

All That Glitter's Isn't Always Gold, but it can Make Your TV Smarter.

 

Samsung has kicked off it's 2013 models with a stunning piece of machinery, whisper quiet and wearing a lovely silver coat I think it makes a change from the same old black block stuck in the Hi-Fi rack or under the TV.

As you'd expect it boasts a number of the latest features including twin HDMI output for either feeding 2 displays or sending the audio to a non 3D ready Receiver. But also has multi channel outputs for 7.1 sound. And with Wi-Fi built in the need for leads running from your probably over run Router is a bonus.

On the not to busy rear panel you get all the connections you need from 7.1 analogue outputs for the non 3D receiver and twin HDMI outputs for those who don't have the same again, but if your one of the many, many people who now have a 3D ready display and Receiver then all you need to do is plug in the HDMI cable and away you go. There is a Optical out for those who don't bother with HD Audio but hey i'm not here to criticize. You can send 3D signals from the Main output and send HD Audio to your non 3D receiver via the Sub HDMI output, it is a very useful feature, but I think these will disappear as the more of us get our 3D receivers. The other reason for the twin HDMI's is that this player up-scales to the new 4K, So if you buy yourself a shiny new 4K display but your receiver doesn't support it just pop the output to the display and run the sound from the second HDMI. So future proofing is built in.

The 7500 matches all the latest Samsung TV's from the past 3 years so that is the only reason it has the aluminium strip around it, it's just cosmetic, but it's a nice touch I think.

There are touch sensitive controls on the top if you loose that remote down the side of the sofa. the disc draw is to left of the machine and has a beautiful medium sized LED display on the front.

So tucking this away is a no, no for me it should be shown off and on full display in your rack.

The bonus for most people here is the now highly updated and very nice to use Smart Hub, My TV recently updated to the new looking screen and going by that it's is a little smoother, with catch up TV from the likes of 4OD and ITV along with a number of film rental services and there is very little to bad mouth, The built in web browser isn't the fastest but it's ok if that's all you have, just be prepared to wait a few seconds.

 

 

If I was you I would seek this little beauty out and see if you can grab a Demo

From what I've see pictures look stunning and that and the sound is all that matters.. oh and it looks drop dead gorgeous.

 

Prices start from as little as £260.00 so don't think just shop around and pick it up.
